..The Sterlings..

I am going to have to start off by saying today how blessed I am.  I have many friends from my church family that have loved me, supported me, pushed me to my limits, have prayed for me, and who have given me the chance to photograph them.

The Sterling family is one of those families.  Meet Cheryl and Dallas, a family that is built on the love of God!  I first met them by hanging out and getting to know their sons and daughters at BGSU and DaySpring Church.  They quickly included us in Ohio State vs Michigan parties at their home and pool parties in their back yard.  I even have the same love for the Dallas Cowboys that this family has.  So we always have something to talk about!  But through it all I have been so appreciative of the love and the hugs that they have continued to give me over the years.  When Cheryl asked me to do family pictures I couldn’t wait to photograph them.

A family always begins with two…

Then the kids come along.  From left to right: Vanessa, Somer, Addison, and Candace.

And after kids, the grandkids come!  Here is little Gabriel, son of Candace.

There are so many more I would love to share but here is the whole family.  There will be more to show of Somer and her husband Bob’s family soon!

Thank you to the Sterling family for letting me into your home and your God-given lives!

..Drew's Mini Session..

About 7 months ago this little guy came into the world to Rob and Carrie, both dear friends of mine.  For their anniversary Rob wanted to gift a family/newborn session to Carrie of their new buddle of joy.  I was estatic because I love cute and cuddly newborns all wrapped up in a blanket.  (Check out facebook to see his newborn photos.)  But here we are 6 months later taking a quick mini session.  He looks a little familiar because he was in the cousins shot in the I Scream Larry’s family post.

None the less we got a quick few minutes to take just a couple of pictures of him solo.  He is already getting so big!  I love his adorable grin.  He just got his second tooth, so by the next time I share maybe he will have a few teeth to show off  with Mom and Dad too 😉

Carrie and Rob your little buddle is growing up, can’t wait to do your family photos soon!

..The Dayton Air Show..

To take the umbrella or not to take the umbrella?  The sky loomed over head and it looked like all those mean looking clouds were going to pass.  Brad and I had already walked a good distance from the car before we realized that we had forgotten our umbrella.  I looked at him and then I looked back in the direction of our car.  A moment passed with the thought of dread of walking back to get it.  We agreed that it was best to return to the car to retrieve his oversized BG Falcon golf umbrella.  After all we could use it if it rained, or we could use it to shade ourselves from the sun if it chose to shine.  And boy oh boy are we glad we did.  After the 1.5 mile walk to the air strip we were glad to put up our chairs and hoist the umbrella over head in order to cool off.  I was thankful that even though dread set upon us that we chose to bring the umbrella anyways.  It definitely made the very sunny and muggy day at the Dayton Air Show go much smoother.

To start the day they parachuted in a couple of flags.

Can you see the woman who is on top of the plane?  During the course of their flying she climbed out of the plane and strapped herself to the top of the plane.  All of that at a high rate of speed just under a mile high in the air!  I personally think this woman is crazy, and on top of that her husband is the one flying the plane over, under, and…

… upside down!  She may be crazy, but I bet she feels like she is on top of the world when she is doing these stunts.

Fat Albert kicked it off for the Blue Angels…

Just as these guys were starting it began to rain.  Luckily we did have the umbrella, I covered all my gear and put it away so not to damage any of my equipment.  So unforunately the team I wanted to see most I got the least amount of pictures.  Brad was able to get most of it on video, the action of the stunts show better on there anyways 😉

So despite dark and gloomy clouds that came and went, we had a good time at the show.  The Blue Angels rocked the house along with all the other stunts that took place.  I haven’t been here long but I am already getting use to all that Dayton has to offer with awesome fly overs!

..I Scream Larry's..

Summer. It’s that time of year where no matter what type of clothes you wear they will stick to you.  The air conditioner feels like heaven and sometimes you just dread to even be touched.  It’s that time of year that you crave one of heaven’s finest deserts, ice cream and all it’s yummy-ness.  Yes I just made that word up 🙂 And who doesn’t love ice cream on a ridiculously hot summer day?

Meet Adam and his wife Rachel.  They have been married for six years and now have two beautiful girls, Tori and Emma.  In casual conversation Adam told me during the session that life sometimes passes by so quickly that they just wanted to remember it.  They wanted to remember to take family pictures to have these times in their hands forever.  Okay so he didn’t quite say it like that, but being a woman I have to exaggerate a little bit.  In all honesty Rachel and Adam just want photos to have.  Photos that are so easily by-passed because of life’s rapid speed.  So here they are.

And their children, Tori who is 3 and Emma who is 6 months.

I love how little Emma was looking at her sister Tori in adornment.

The whole family together.

We did manage to squeeze cousin Drew in for a few shots for Grandma and Grandpa.

Now remember when I was talking about ice cream?   Sometimes a cheese needs a little encouragement.  I Scream Larry’s Ice Cream was the encouragement for Tori.  I love her ice cream smile 🙂

Thank you to Adam, Rachel, Tori, and Emma for allowing me to photograph your family.  You are beautiful, cherish every moment that God gives you!

..Sarah Said Yes to Ben..

Remember how I told you I couldn’t wait to tell you more about this couple?  Well here they are, Sarah & Ben and their country love.  When Sarah said she wanted to do her and Ben’s engagement session on her parent’s farm I couldn’t have been more excited.  I just love fun and new places, it just makes the pictures so unique to you 🙂

I couldn’t help through the whole session but sing country songs in my head and thinking of Bob Evan’s theme Down on the Farm. The sky was as blue as blue could get with white fluffy clouds passing along in the small breeze.  The breeze brought on the smell of a farm, you know the smell I’m talking about.  It was nothing less than what I remembered from the farm next door to my parents house, pungent.  The sun was out and shining intently on all of us.  It was hot but it wasn’t going to stop me because I was on a mission.  I wanted to rock the boots off this country session, I hope you love them!

Ben’s beautiful gift to Sarah…

They have happiness written all over them…

Country Roads Take Me Home

I loved the barn…

What photographer doesn’t want to photograph a great looking couple in the middle of a wheat field? (Enter Rhetorical Response Here 🙂 )

I couldn’t decide if I liked vertical or horizontal better…

Cowboy Take Me Away..

Sarah and Ben, I CAN NOT WAIT for your October wedding.  It’s going to be beautiful, we may have to revisit these fields!  Happy Planning!
