..Goodbye Summer..

I sit here curled up in my favorite blanket as my fingers start to go numb from the coolness in the air, looking through photos that bring back nothing but warm memories and muggy summer nights.  Making myself deal with the stark fact that summer is no longer here and that fall has hit us full force.  I’m thankful that the air conditioner will not be running, but sad to say that those days at the pool soaking up the sweet sunshine are gone until next year.  (Next year, that seems so far away!)  But with fall upon us we get to enjoy the things that so commonly come along with it, most notably hot apple cider and my grandmother’s homemade apple pies.  And while I don’t really care to be cold, these are the days of laying on the couch in pajamas and blankets watching my favorite fall television shows and football games.

I bid you ado warm summer nights, hello cool fall.  Enjoy this photo I caught at the aboreitum this summer.

On a side note I do want to mention that my internet has been down at home the last couple of days and I will do my best to get back with everyone in a timely manner.  Thank you for your understanding!

..Sarah & Ben Said I Do | Part II..

I do have to say that this was one special couple for me to photograph, and a dream come true to someone that deserves it  the most.  I prayed over Ben & Sarah as they said their vows and made a commitment to one another for the rest of their lives.  You see, 11 years ago Sarah met me in the bleachers of a high school football game.  But little did I know that night would determine the course of my life and what it is today, she alone found me my future husband!  And for her to find and unite with her one true love while I captured each moment, well lets say it didn’t even come close to the debt to what I owe her.

After Sarah and Ben’s beautiful ceremony at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Clyde, we captured them soaking up the moments that just took place.

I love these reflecting images featuring both the beautiful bride and the handsome groom.

The church sits beside the only remaining brick streets left in Clyde.  I love this picture of all the girls making their way down the brick road.

We made our way to the city park, taking advantage of the pretty covered bridges…

I was loving the way the sun was shining through this beautiful old willow.

Wasn’t she just stunning?

He was just as handsome…

HUGE Ohio State fans!  OH-IO!

Nothing like a good jumping photo with the bridal party!

They are too cute!

Sarah and Ben I thank you both once again from the bottom of my heart!  I hope you enjoy all the images that Nicole and I were able to capture.

..ONE TRUE LOVE..

..Sarah & Ben Said I Do | Part I..

There is just something about a warm fall day that screams, “love is in the air.”  (You may remember this love duo from their ..Country Session.. we did on the Pearson farm.)  October 16th was beautiful, the sun was shining and a light breeze set the mood for the fall afternoon wedding.  The girls were in a hustle and bustle preparing the bride-to-be for her man, whom anxiously waited upstairs as guests began to arrive.  His hands quivered as he re-read over his vows just before the processional began.  His guys gave him another look, a hand-shake, and then a hug encouraging his nerves to surpass.

The music began to play as the bridesmaids dressed in long taffeta sangria gowns made their way down the aisle.  Then the music peeked, Mr. Pearson led his daughter towards the middle of the aisle as the guests rose to their feet, honoring the bride.  She looked beautiful in her stunning white attire and him equally handsome in his black tux.  She smiled at him with her big ol’ country grin and his eyes met hers in a long gaze as she walked towards him.  Finally, they met hand-in-hand and faced the pastor who would unite them as one!

The beautiful rings, laying on the programs that my sister Nicole and her employer Engler Printing designed…

I love this shot of the church Nicole got with my wide angle…

The sun coming in the window made the perfect spot to photograph her dress…

Ben reading over his vows.

Sarah in her last moments as a single woman.  Nicole grabbed this shot right before she was escorted down the aisle.

I love this moment, the first time Ben saw her.  I love Pastor Gerry as he stetches out a comforting arm right there with Ben!

Here she comes…

Happy to see each other…

They are just so happy.

The last prayer over their marriage before they walk down the aisle as husband and wife!

Ben and Sarah I wish you all the happiness in the world!  Congratulations once again and thank you for choosing ..Echo by Design.. to photograph your once in a lifetime day!  Part II coming soon!

..UNITED..

..The Dearsman Family..

TA DA!!  With all the great and exciting changes coming to ..Echo by Design.. , I have released a new blog to match my branding!  A new and fresh look for now and the future.  I have been working hard on making this my own over the last couple of weeks, and hope you enjoy it.

I couldn’t have thought of a better family to reveal the new blog, so you get to meet the Dearsman’s!  This is my husband’s family and my wonderful in-laws.  Last weekend we were able to sneak away to Michigan to visit Ashley and her new boyfriend Derek in St. Joseph.  We stayed at a cute little campground just outside of St. Joe’s and that’s the spot we chose to do our portraits.  Heavy rains were on the way, and we wanted to be sure to get all the pictures done before we stole off to have a relaxing afternoon.  I’m sure it was a site to see with me running back and forth to the camera and tripod, checking to see that I got what I wanted.  And luckily enough just as we were finishing up, it started to rain!

The rest of the afternoon brought a nice lunch looking over Lake Michigan, a wine tasting tour, and taking a stroll through the downtown shops that were littered beside the cobblestone streets.  And although my shutter finger could of had a hay-day I decided to give myself a chance to slow down and take it all in.

Roger and Chris Dearsman…

And this is the family they created…

Nick & Laura on the left.  Ashley & Derek on the right.

Family wouldn’t be family without the puppies, meet Chloe…

and Denali…

And lastly me and my wonderful husband.  Photo credit goes to Laura!!

Thank you to everyone for their unending support in my new business!  And thank you to my wonderful in-laws for a fun and exciting shoot!

..NEW & FRESH..

PS- Subscribers, I would love to hear some feedback from you to know that the new blog is getting you the same email action as it was before!  Thank you!

..Nothing Like a Day Off..

A day off, it’s not something I do for myself very often.  I had been warned by other photographer’s in the industry, “You will become a workaholic.”  I have done my best to not let that ring true.  I actually picked up a book to educate myself on this so that it doesn’t happen to me.  And once I am done reading it, I am sure that I will have plenty to share!

A couple of weeks ago when my husband had a government holiday off ,we decided to go hiking at ..John Bryan State Park..!  We figured that it would get us out of the house, give us some together, and get some exercise in.  For being fall, it actually was a pretty warm day.  We were sure to come prepared with water and a snack, and it was needed.  It was a beautiful afternoon and despite seeing a snake in the first few minutes of our journey, the rest of the afternoon was gorgeous.  We hiked over 5 miles and enjoyed the fall colored leaves as the breeze sent them dancing all around.

I do have to say that I absolutely love what I do, but every now and then a day off is music to my ears.

..DAY OFF..

ALSO stay tuned because there is a really big, fun, new thing headed your way.  Just working out a few kinks and we should be good to go!!!
