..Sneak Peek to the Caribbean | We Said I Do..

This weekend was an exciting one both for Echo by Design and personally!  My two families threw me a beautiful shower to welcome in Baby D!  On the other hand, Mr. & Mrs. Bronowski said I Do on a lovely day.  It was one filled with happiness and I couldn’t have been more privileged to be a part of it.  So while I share this one teaser image of their big day, I’m sure they are basking in the sun of the Western Caribbean on some super lazy lawn chairs!  I’m mostly jealous, but I can’t complain TOO much.  I leave for Wyoming in three days and I couldn’t be more excited…until then!

Head on back this way for more images from their wedding bliss in the next couple of days!  Abby and Jeff, I hope your enjoying that sunshine!  Soak some in for me 🙂

..Jared & Erica Part II | We Said I Do..

After Jared and Erica’s beautifully warm ..Ceremony.. we had a chance to head over to ..Hayes Presidential Center.. for their portrait session.  The group getting off of the party bus was nothing less than ready, to well….party!  Which definitely made it fun and interesting for all of the photos about to be taken.  While Nicole and Britta took the bridal party for portraits, I had the chance to capture the romance between the couple of the evening.  This is always one of my favorite parts of the day!  I love nothing more than to let a couple cuddle in front of my camera, as I creep in the bushes (or trees in this case)…literally!

I think what I love most about Jared and Erica is that we went to high school together, and they never ‘noticed’ each other.  Not until years later at a ‘classy Clyde establishment’ did they finally connect.  Erica complimented Jared on a scarf he was wearing, while Jared played hard to get.  He secretly was scared to ask Erica on a date!  It makes me giggle, it’s sooo elementary school style.  Jared ended up taking Erica out on their first date, and when Erica asked to hang out again Jared mutually agreed!  I guess they say the rest is history!

We made our way to the reception where family and friends began to shout, “Jarica, Jarica, Jarica!”  It’s like they had their own fan club or something.  It was so sweet to listen to the chant as Mr. & Mrs. Shetzer were introduced for the 2nd time in public.  The night did not fail this couple as there was plenty of dancing and celebrating (aka drinking) to be done.  Toasts took place before dinner, where Jared had a chance to stand up and thank everyone that had attended ‘the most special day in his life.’  He went on to say, “Erica means the world to me, and she is the most amazing woman in every way.  I’m lucky to have her as mine.”  I can’t say that I had a dry eye after hearing such a heartfelt love declaration to his new wife.  I’m soo happy for the both of them and that they were able to find each other, even if it wasn’t during high school.

After my first post on Monday, Jared sent me this sweet little message and I just had to share:

We love the images you were able to capture.  It was unbelievable to see our day captured in such an amazing light!  We cannot thank you enough for the wonderful work that you do with your camera.  We were amazed to see our emotions captured in images like never before.  You can look at other people’s photographs and be impressed, but when they are your own images it means so much more.  The events of the day seem so long ago already.  It is so nice to have a way to remember everything we feel like we may have missed.  We are so blessed to not only have had you as our photographer but also our friend.  We are so happy that you have found your niche in this crazy world.  Your talents are remarkable and your a phenomenal human being!  Thanks again. We cant wait to see more.

After getting teary eyed, again I want to congratulate Jarica (Jared + Erica) on the joining of themselves in marriage.  I wish them many years of marital bliss and CAN NOT wait to see where life takes them!  Thank you to the Langenfelder and Shetzer families for allowing me to spend the day with you capturing a love that was more than worth witnessing!

..Jackson is 6 Months | Oh Baby..

Just last week I shared the ..Hall Children.. and mentioned that ‘Miss Danielle’ would be featured on the blog again soon.  While I was home for her cousin ..Jared & Erica’s Wedding.. we scheduled a session to capture Jackson’s six month baby portraits.  You may not remember the little cutie so you should check out his winter ..Newborn Session.. just 8 days after his birth.

I pulled into ..Hayes Presidential Center.. for the second time that weeekend to meet Jack, Danielle, and their adorable son Jackson.  I was thrilled that we agreed to an early start time.  I could already feel the humidy rising, as the sun made it’s way to the top of the sky for the day.  It was going to be a scorcer, not to mention a promising day pool side for this pregnant mama!  Both Jack and Danielle agreed as they started to wake Jackson up from his car ride nap.  He was a bit groggy at first, but this little guy definitely woke up better from a nap than I have in my entire life.  I can typically get pretty grumpy… not Jackson, he was a happy little guy!

As we made our way through the session both Jack and Danielle were so sweet in offering up some of their advice for having a newborn.  I am always thankful of this and will take advice anywhere I can get it.  Lucky for me, growing up, I had a chance to help raise my 5 neices and nephews, and started babysitting the oldest when I was in 3rd grade!  (He graduates next year… I think I need to pinch myself.)  So I’m pretty excited to be a first time mom, and thankful for especially newborn parents whom are willing to pass along any tid bits of information.  I also had a chance to relive the Barney days singing, “I Love You….” and watching the little man’s face light up as we sang it.

His first experience with grass, he wasn’t quite sure how to react…

Found a new favorite spot…loving the brick drive!  You have nooo idea how hard these next shots were for a pregnant woman to take.  Let’s just say I miss being able to lie on my belly!

Couldn’t decide if I liked it in color or black and white better, so you decide!

Jack and Danielle, thank you so much for allowing me to photograph your son again!  He is a precious little boy and I am so happy that I get to photograph him again soon!  Enjoy these moments as he continues to grow… he makes me look forward to my little bundle on the way.

..Jared & Erica Part I | We Said I Do..

I entered into the church with my two fabulous assistants for the day (Nicole and Britta), it was dark and slightly stuffy.  Girls chattering came from the basement as I heard them arrive.  I couldn’t wait to see Erica with her hair and makeup all done.  We ventured down to say hello, and I greeted Miss Erica with a hug.  She mentioned that she was nervous and as I always do, I told her to relax and enjoy all the moments.  Her girls hustled and bustled around her as they helped her get ready.  We stole away some of her mementos and started photographing what would be the best day of her life.  I couldn’t believe how beautiful she looked already without her dress on and could barely wait to see her slip in it.  When the time came, the room was filled with laughter, tears, and plenty of excitement and smiles.  I love capturing all of those ‘never seen’ moments.

Finally, I heard the guys upstairs and made my way to the ever nervous groom.  Jared, Erica, and I all went to high school together, but Jared was in my group of friends!  It was so exciting to see yet another one of my friends take that step towards the alter.  The groomsmen kept the air light and tried to keep Jared’s mind off the fact that ‘his life was ending.’  I think in Jared’s mind it was just beginning, but our guy friends certainly know how to keep someone laughing.  Once all of the guys cleared the room to get ready for the ceremony, I had the chance to give Jared the biggest hug, look him in the eye, and tell him that he was marrying the girl of his dreams.  He looked at me and said, “I know!”  I was excited for that moment when he would see her for the first time.

I made my way to the center aisle and watched the ceremony begin to blossom and unfold to one of the most beautiful moments.  The guys made their way out with the Pastor and Jared, who by that time still had his nervous smile.  The ladies processed down the aisle in “Kentucky blue” dresses carrying bouquets array with color.  Each of them looking more beautiful in their own way than the last.  Then the moment came where it was Erica’s turn to step into the brightly lit doorway.  She took her father’s arm and smiled the whole way towards Jared.  His eyes fixated on her the whole time as he stood in awe as she stepped right in front of him.  He took her hand and presented his bride to the Pastor with pride.  Each of them finally thrilled to be in that moment.  Despite the church being slightly overheated due to the amazing support of family and friends whom attended, the ceremony turned out to be absolutely beautiful.

LOVE all the smiles, they couldn’t stop!

undefinedundefinedI call myself blessed to share in the memories of so many, but I call myself even MORE blessed when it’s a friend!  Jared and Erica, thank you once again for allowing me to photograph your special day!  Stay tuned, there is more to come within a few days!

..Majeed & Raina | Oh Baby..

I have been dying to show everyone these two cuties!  Finally their turn has come to grace the blog with their presence!  A few weeks ago one of my amazing sisters called me while I was out running some errands.   She mentioned that one of Dave’s (my brother-in-law) co-workers just had TWINS!  My heart gushed inside 🙂    Denise and Dave had the perfect idea, they decided they wanted to gift my photography services to capture this special time in their lives.  I have never had a chance to photograph newborn twins before and I was super ecstatic.  Gloria and Nabil were contacted and we set up a session time that worked out best for them, the twins, myself, and my sister and brother-in-law!  It would be the first time that they would be meeting the little ones.

We arrived and they were preciously sleeping in side by side bouncers…just the way that I like them!  Gloria introduced me to Raina and Majeed and I marveled at how itsy bitsy they were.  In the back of my mind I knew that within a few short months I would be blessed with one.  Denise scooped Raina up in her arms in no time and continued to lull her to sleep.  (Dave told her to get her baby fix in!  The next time will probably be when Baby D makes it here.)  It gave me a chance to hear a little bit of Gloria and Nabil’s story.  Gloria said she was in one of her last check ups at the doctor and as soon as she was about to leave, her water broke right there in the doctor’s office!  I could barely believe the chances of that!  She said with all of her other children the doctor always had to break her water for her.  It was so exciting hearing all of the details.

The twins made their way into the world on April 20th.  Majeed David was born at 7:58 p.m. weighing in at 5 lbs. 5 ozs. with his sister Raina right behind him!  Raina Isabella was born at 8:03 p.m. weighing a whole pound less than  her older brother, at 4lbs. 4 ozs.!  After 4 weeks old, they were still so little!  Raina is always making cute little monkey faces and has earned the nickname ‘Chimp.’  Majeed on the other hand is a little bit more laid back.  They have nicknamed him ‘Squirt’ as Gloria says, “For obvious reasons!”  That is something they will definitely laugh about in the future.

After asking Gloria and Nabil how it is being parents of newborn twins, they state, “Although it is physically exhausting, we feel so fortunate and blessed that we have these two little miracles.  We are proud of them and that they are so healthy, considering we had them later in life.”  They also said, “We are so happy that they have each other as siblings as they grow older.”  I love how precious that sounds.

Here is Majeed…

Nabil and Gloria, it was such an honor to be invited into your beautiful home to capture your little miracles.  I hope you treasure these portraits for years and years to come!  I can’t wait to see you again sometime in the near future!  Many blessings over Majeed and Raina, they are so precious!  And a HUGE thank you to Denise and Dave for thinking of me during this sweet, sweet time.
