After Jared and Erica’s beautifully warm ..Ceremony.. we had a chance to head over to ..Hayes Presidential Center.. for their portrait session. The group getting off of the party bus was nothing less than ready, to well….party! Which definitely made it fun and interesting for all of the photos about to be taken. While Nicole and Britta took the bridal party for portraits, I had the chance to capture the romance between the couple of the evening. This is always one of my favorite parts of the day! I love nothing more than to let a couple cuddle in front of my camera, as I creep in the bushes (or trees in this case)…literally!
I think what I love most about Jared and Erica is that we went to high school together, and they never ‘noticed’ each other. Not until years later at a ‘classy Clyde establishment’ did they finally connect. Erica complimented Jared on a scarf he was wearing, while Jared played hard to get. He secretly was scared to ask Erica on a date! It makes me giggle, it’s sooo elementary school style. Jared ended up taking Erica out on their first date, and when Erica asked to hang out again Jared mutually agreed! I guess they say the rest is history!
We made our way to the reception where family and friends began to shout, “Jarica, Jarica, Jarica!” It’s like they had their own fan club or something. It was so sweet to listen to the chant as Mr. & Mrs. Shetzer were introduced for the 2nd time in public. The night did not fail this couple as there was plenty of dancing and celebrating (aka drinking) to be done. Toasts took place before dinner, where Jared had a chance to stand up and thank everyone that had attended ‘the most special day in his life.’ He went on to say, “Erica means the world to me, and she is the most amazing woman in every way. I’m lucky to have her as mine.” I can’t say that I had a dry eye after hearing such a heartfelt love declaration to his new wife. I’m soo happy for the both of them and that they were able to find each other, even if it wasn’t during high school.
Nicole managed to grab this quick shot between bridal party pics…
This next one was by my newbie ‘intern’ Britta…

After my first post on Monday, Jared sent me this sweet little message and I just had to share:
We love the images you were able to capture. It was unbelievable to see our day captured in such an amazing light! We cannot thank you enough for the wonderful work that you do with your camera. We were amazed to see our emotions captured in images like never before. You can look at other people’s photographs and be impressed, but when they are your own images it means so much more. The events of the day seem so long ago already. It is so nice to have a way to remember everything we feel like we may have missed. We are so blessed to not only have had you as our photographer but also our friend. We are so happy that you have found your niche in this crazy world. Your talents are remarkable and your a phenomenal human being! Thanks again. We cant wait to see more.
After getting teary eyed, again I want to congratulate Jarica (Jared + Erica) on the joining of themselves in marriage. I wish them many years of marital bliss and CAN NOT wait to see where life takes them! Thank you to the Langenfelder and Shetzer families for allowing me to spend the day with you capturing a love that was more than worth witnessing!
..HARD TO GET..
