“Faithfulness, faithfulness, faithfulness,” that is what the pastor had to say during his message. He directed it to the couple whom was about to become husband and wife. He related that the vows that are said on a wedding day reflect that the couple is then destined to be together “till death do them part.” One of the greatest ways to achieve that is being diligently faithful to each other in all things. He then asked all couple’s in the crowd to take part and actively renew their own vows, just as Heidi and Justin were to speak theirs for the very first time. Later with outstretched hands, the guests prayed over their new marriage and the revival of any marriage that was in need. Through the whole ceremony Justin beamed at Heidi and Heidi smiled and giggled back at Justin. It was refreshing to see a love that had already stood the test of time, because after years of being together, they were now man and wife.
After the beautiful message they headed out into the windy day ready to break forth and celebrate their new life together. We headed to East Harbor to get some portraits on the lake, however, the wind proved to be much too difficult and seemed just short of hurricane force. So we decided to drive in-land just a bit to find a warmer location. After some goofing off, lots of laughter, and some posed portraits, I chose to use the tree covered road as a backdrop. Well who knew when you put a large group of people in the middle of the road that a few cars would get backed up? So shortly after we found ourselves begging the park ranger for just a few more minutes. He was skeptical, but Heidi put on her charm and he let us be for a few more shots!
Justin and Heidi wrapped up their night at Lyman Harbor in fall harvest fashion! The tables danced with fall leaves and brightly lit orange candles followed by large lanterns. Each table setting was greeted by either a candy or carmel apple. For desert, there was a cake table with every kind of cupcake flavor imaginable…and if that wasn’t enough, the adjoining table was loaded with homemade buckeye treats and a grooms cake. My favorite part? The new Mr. & Mrs. were surprised by their family with their very own personalized bobble heads! I couldn’t believe it, they fit their personalities so well! It all came together so perfectly.
