..Sneak Peek to Puerta Vallarta | Marry Me..

Just a little over a week ago I had the amazing honor to join Tim and Courtney on their destination wedding in North Carolina!  I can’t tell you how blessed I felt to be with this family, and how welcoming they were all weekend!  They are an amazing couple and they certainly did not fail me with their charasmatic love for one another.

After their blessed day, they chose to whisk themselves away to Puerta Vallarta, Mexico.  I can only hope this romantically steamy image only resembles those Mexico temperatures!  Swooning over this image and the rest yet to come, be sure to check in soon!

Courtney and Tim, your love for one another is one to be cherished!  Congratulations to you both again and thank you for bringing me to NC!

..Brand New Me | Talking Business..

It’s hard to believe that I am already knee deep in my 3rd season of Echo by Design!  This winter I reflected on a self evaluation {which was important!}  As I took a step back, I saw the improved artist I have become.  However, something just wasn’t right.  Almost like it was a shoe that no longer fit.  It had to be fixed!

I made a pledge to make it right.  A simplified and modernized brand.  That was the decided cure.  A complete and new me.  I knew it had to include an overhaul from top to bottom.  A new logo, new website, and some updating to my blog and facebook presence.  I was so excited to get started, and then realized that I was completely stumped at where to even begin!

After months of compiling my thoughts on paper, I knew I had to pin point something…anything to send to my awesome friend Meghan {from ..design the date..} to get the ball rolling!  It had to be something that was clean, fresh, and modern.  Well…She nailed it!  I have been swooning over the new look for weeks now!  It has just been all about getting everything just perfect!  With my OCD it had to be!  I wanted nothing less for you or for me!

So without further ado…I present to you, the new and improved ..echobydesign..!

I hope you like it as much as I do!  {With that being said, I will be in the process of phasing out anything that has my old logo on it.}  I count my blessings daily that I get to wake up and walk into my home office every day to serve you and do something I absolutely love.  I can’t wait to continue to make this business better for each of us!  I already feel fresh, modern, and new again.

..Knox 7 Months | Oh Baby..

You have met this little man before, he was just a wee little one at his ..newborn session..!  While home a few weeks ago I had the opportunity to capture Knox again.  The 6-7 month time frame is so special, it’s that time where they become more interactive, more alert to their surroundings, and yep even learning to be mobile!  Oh how quickly it goes.

I always like to hear how other mommas {and papas} feel about their baby in the first year.  It’s such an awe inspiring time watching them grow and learn all the things we know how to do.  It is such a whirlwind, which probably makes the time go so fast.  Here is what Nicole had to say, Knox has put such a constant happiness and joy in our lives since the moment we laid eyes on him! The past 7 months have seriously gone by too fast and it’s a little sad to see him grow so quickly but also amazing to see him grow, learn and accomplish all the new things in life he has at this point. He is crawling all around the house since 5 months and he hasn’t stopped moving since! He is walking all around with our help, standing up on his own and enjoying all the new solid foods. His first word was baba at 6 months and just over Memorial Day weekend he said mama! It melted my heart like his little gummy smile does everyday.  We are so grateful for him and thank god everyday for blessing us with a healthy, happy and wild little man!

I loved his smiles, his ability to explore {maybe eating some grass}, and his adorable tie!

Chad, Nicole, and Knox!  It was my pleasure to hang out with you once again.  You sure have one adorable little man on your hands, and yet another little boy whom resembles his daddy so closely!

..Sneak Peek to Savannah | Marry Me..

Last weekend I had the privilege to photograph Carly and Aaron’s wedding day!  {It also happened to be my sister and brother in law’s 6th wedding anniversary, which I also had the pleasure to capture.}  It was such an amazing one and I felt welcomed from the very beginning by two absolutely AMAZING families!  I can’t wait to tell you all about it!

The couple decided that for their honeymoon they were going to roadtrip their way back home!  They wanted to spend some time in Baltimore, and then make stops here and there and whatever on their way to Savannah.  Mmm, the South.  I can smell the home cooking from here!  I hope that wherever you both are, that you have enjoyed your first week of marriage 🙂  Here is a celebratory sneak peek for you!

Safe travels and I will have more to share soon!  Make sure to eat some of that fantastic food for me 🙂

NOTE: I will be out of the office beginning today, May 25th until Tuesday, May 29th.  I will be returning on Wednesday, May 30th to answer emails and inquiries.  Thank you for your patience and understanding!  I hope everyone has a fabulous Memorial Day weekend.

..Johnathan & Brynna | She Said Yes..

I noticed John before he noticed me.  Brynna was working out with her friend Amanda at the KSU Rec Center, when she glanced across the room and saw someone new.  She admired him and then mentioned to Amanda that he was pretty cute!  Not going much further than that, they continued on with their workout.

Later that week, Brynna was hanging out with friends in one of their dorm rooms, when that very same cutie walked in.  Yep, you guessed it, John!  He was being introduced by a mutual friend.  She said, Amanda and I turned to each other and giggled as I blushed in embarassment!

It’s crazy to think that moments like these are just the starting points for my couples.  Something so simple.  So organic.  So real.  I couldn’t wait to photograph them as a couple and to meet John for the first time!  {I’ve known Brynna since high school and we were even teammates in volleyball.}  I was thrilled for her when she told me that she had gotten engaged, and I am so happy to be joining them for their fall wedding.

They wanted a meaningful setting, so we decided to meet up at John’s parents house.  Right before the session began, I warned them that plenty of cuddling would be involved.  They shared a glance, laughed at each other, and then said, we’ve had a rough week and could use some of that!  I laughed my nervous laugh with them and gave them a puzzled glance.  They mentioned that they were in the process of purchasing their first home, and it was taking it’s toll.  {Completely understandable, I get that!  It can be super tough.}  However, it didn’t take long for them to forget about the stresses of life and get back to the basic love that they had for one another.  It was simply beautiful.

Johnathan and Brynna!  I am beyond excited to be working with you both and to join in your amazing day.  From the sneak peek of the details that are in store, it is going to be a lovely affair!
