I noticed John before he noticed me. Brynna was working out with her friend Amanda at the KSU Rec Center, when she glanced across the room and saw someone new. She admired him and then mentioned to Amanda that he was pretty cute! Not going much further than that, they continued on with their workout.
Later that week, Brynna was hanging out with friends in one of their dorm rooms, when that very same cutie walked in. Yep, you guessed it, John! He was being introduced by a mutual friend. She said, Amanda and I turned to each other and giggled as I blushed in embarassment!
It’s crazy to think that moments like these are just the starting points for my couples. Something so simple. So organic. So real. I couldn’t wait to photograph them as a couple and to meet John for the first time! {I’ve known Brynna since high school and we were even teammates in volleyball.} I was thrilled for her when she told me that she had gotten engaged, and I am so happy to be joining them for their fall wedding.
They wanted a meaningful setting, so we decided to meet up at John’s parents house. Right before the session began, I warned them that plenty of cuddling would be involved. They shared a glance, laughed at each other, and then said, we’ve had a rough week and could use some of that! I laughed my nervous laugh with them and gave them a puzzled glance. They mentioned that they were in the process of purchasing their first home, and it was taking it’s toll. {Completely understandable, I get that! It can be super tough.} However, it didn’t take long for them to forget about the stresses of life and get back to the basic love that they had for one another. It was simply beautiful.
Johnathan and Brynna! I am beyond excited to be working with you both and to join in your amazing day. From the sneak peek of the details that are in store, it is going to be a lovely affair!
