..Brad + Kristin Part II | Columbus Athenaeum..

Every wedding day is bound to have it’s hiccups, and although Brad and Kristin had a few more than planned, they had the best attitude about their day!  They rolled with the punches and chose to celebrate their wedding accordingly!

With the bridal party and family in tow, we made our way to the park where Kristin does quite a bit of her running.  What a great time they made of it and we had such a blast capturing all the great emotions that came with the exuberant crowd.  They had no problem making it a good time.  Although I was having fun with everyone, I was itching to get the happy couple to myself!  It’s always my favorite time of the day and I couldn’t help but make it special for them.  Usually when a couple doesn’t see each other before the wedding, this is their first chance to be alone and relish in the fact of the days events and how quickly they already passed.  The moments are sweet and the time is precious and before you know it, we are sweeping them off to the reception!

Their reception was nestled in downtown Columbus at the ..Columbus Athenaeum.. !  The old style theaters turned into banquet halls, made for a lovely backdrop.  The sweet ambient candles and lights strung above created the perfect setting for their party.  Guests enjoyed their scratch off table favors and appetizers before the happy couple was to be announced.  During that time, I was delighted to have Brad’s Mom come up and thank me and Andrea for being with them.  Her words were sweet.  They really wanted you to join them today.  They wanted you so bad and we appreciate you being here.  Don’t ever take your job lightly girls.  Andrea and I agreed and all evening it resonated with me, I was so thankful for her kindness.  I gave her a hug and I smiled knowing that even though the day wasn’t complete that my work had been done!

So without further ado Part II of Brad and Kristin’s big day!

Mr. + Mrs. Piper!  I sincerely loved having the pleasure to work with you both!  To join you in a day that may not have had everything go right, but it was still perfect.  Those are the things you will look back on years and years from now, how silly they all will be!  From now until then, I wish you many, many, years of marriage and happiness!  Thank you again from the bottom of my heart!

..Heather + Ryan Sneak Peek | NorthWest Ohio Wedding Photographer..

Boy has it been a busy week, and there was nothing better than spending the end of the last with Heather and Ryan on their blessed day.  All I can say is that this couple and their families had me in tears all day!  Let’s just say that the FOB put time in perspective for me.  {I get choked up just thinking about it!  So stay tuned to hear the story!}

So while the happy couple are cruising the streets of Las Vegas and probably enjoying some casinos and shows, I wanted to be sure to share a sneak before their arrival home!

Heather and Ryan!  Here is a cheers to one week of marriage under your belt!  I hope it was a fun one!  C’mon back and check in soon.

..Ben + Jenelle | Short North, Columbus..

Meet Ben and Jenelle!  He’s the science guy {insert Sheldon personality here} and she’s the medical know-how.  While they are convinced that they are total opposites in some aspects, it was hard to believe with our time together that they disagreed on anything.

Their story began when they were out with friends.  He told a joke that only she understood.  {Something scientific I guess…}  She was the only one that laughed.  While their friends shot them crazy glances, they chatted.  Not to long after they met, she needed a date for a wedding she was attending.  Somewhere in the midst of all the deciding factors, she asked for his number.  He knew before agreeing to go to a wedding with a complete stranger he wanted to get to hang out with her.  You know.  To make sure it wouldn’t be an uncomfortable and akward day for the both of them.  She agreed with him, and Ben was going to stop by after her shift at her family’s pizza shop!  {..AJ’s Heavenly Pizza..}  Their first official date took place right there in the shop.  Just like in the movies, she baked him a pizza while they sat and talked long into the morning hours.  {Who wouldn’t ooze over a girl who knows how to make a killer pizza?}

Clearly their first date and the wedding were a success, because two years later Ben decided he couldn’t be without Jenelle by his side.  He wrote and recorded a song narrating their love story as he proposed to her.  While I couldn’t think of anything more sweet, he plans to sing his bride down the aisle!  I cannot wait to hear what he writes, and I’m sure there won’t be a dry eye in the room!

We met up in Columbus’ Short North Art District and here was our time together…

Ben and Jenelle!  Although science isn’t my forte, I had a total blast hanging out with ‘old friends.’ I enjoyed our time together and I am so looking forward to your October wedding!  I know that it is going to be such a longed for day for you both.  Many blessings to you until then!

..Brad + Kristin Part I | Columbus Wedding Photographer..

Saturday morning came, the wind and rain had done it’s damage across the counties the night before.  Unfortunately, rain was still making it’s way across the state and everyone was in the hopes that it would continue on South.  So many people were without power, {I had been all night…} and my only hope all morning was that there wouldn’t be anything affecting Brad and Kristin’s wedding day!

With noticable storm damage on the way there, we walked into the church and there was Brad, happy as could be.  A ‘little’ wind, rain, and power wasn’t going to take away from his wedding day!  I greeted him with a big ol’ hug along with about half of his groomsmens!  In their words, this wasn’t my first rodeo with them!  I had been with them 5 years prior on one of the first weddings I captured solo, {With Jason + Manda}  so it was a pleasure to be back!
Making my way upstairs to greet Kristin, they too had their own challenges of the day!  Their salon was without power and they had to find an alternative location to get ready.  It ended up working out and everyone was able to stay on schedule for the day.  I couldn’t wait to capture all of her details from the stunning green orchids in her boquet to her couture blue shoes.  Kristin was excited to share and I marveled over her DIY hangers for herself and each of her bridesmaids.  I couldn’t wait to get her in her dress!  Her bridesmaids surrounded her as she slipped into her beautiful Sottero and Midgley gown, and it was almost as if a beam of light lit her from head to toe.
Downstairs the guests were being seated while the pianist graceful fingers danced across the keys.  Family and friends hugged each other as a light chatter filled the sanctuary.  It wasn’t long before Mom’s were being seated and Brad was making his way to the front of the church with his best friend’s.  Each lady made her way down the aisle, halfway being escorted by her matching groomsman.  The music began to build as the Pastor asked the guests to stand.  Krisitin and her father made their way to the center aisle as the sweetest smile swept across Brad’s face.  He knew more than anything that he was ready to commit his life to taking care of her, and they did just that at the altar.

Brad +Kristin!  Thank you for being so awesome, I was so blessed to be with the both of you on your big day!!  I can’t wait for you to see some more, so stay tuned!

..Cory + Abby Part II | Chateau Tebeau Winery Wedding..

They could breathe.  Cory and Abby had said their vows, greeted their guests, and now it was time for them to just be together.  {At least for the time being anyways.}  I whisked them off to finish up their portraits as husband and wife.  Cory couldn’t get enough of his new bride and it had her grinning with pure happiness.

We made our way to the vines that weaved themselves together.  Much like their love, they were entagled in their time spent together.  He couldn’t keep his hands off of her, and she basked in the sweetness of it all.  They laughed at Nicole and I as we found the perfect angles and composition, yet still it didn’t interupt the love fest that was going on between them!  {We could have photographed through those vines for hours!}

They rejoined their bridal party and made their way on the party bus towards their eventful evening.  The details inside replicated the outdoor country and winery style, which added a sweet touch.  Once the couple was introduced, the party didn’t stop!  Sweet toasts, followed by tearful dances, crescendoed into some serious fun!

Nicole stole this angle while I was getting the two below…

Another one of Nicole’s…

Nicole took the left image, while I grabbed the right!

Nicole rocked out these awesome ring shots!  LOVE them!!

Cory + Abby!  I can do nothing more than say thank you for allowing me to be with you on your sweet, sweet day!  What a blessing you both have been to me and I wish you many years of happiness in your marriage!  Thank you SO much and congratulations again!
