..Trent + Tiffany Sneak Peek | Marblehead Lighthouse..

Last weekend I had the sweet opportunity to work with Tiffany + Trent!  It was a gorgeous cloudy day that was just perfect for their beach portraiture at Marblehead Lighthouse and Maumee Bay!  So many people were out and many ‘on lookers’ were checking out this beautiful couple!  I love that the lighthouse attendant is even checking them out!

Thank you so much Trent + Tiffany for having me with you on your long awaited day!  So much more to come!

..The Trimbach Family | Carriage Hill Historical Farm..

A few months back, I had the opportunity to take senior portraits for ..Sarah..!  Shortly, after Sarah’s portrait session, Denise {Momma T} asked for a family portrait session from Tim {Pappa T}!  She jokingly asked if I was up for the task, since there was 10 of them!  I assured her it would be no problem.  {I have bridal parties larger than their family.}  So for Denise’s birthday, I was honored to spend time with the whole family at Carriage Hill.  What a blessing of a time it was!  It reminded me much of my own family and how well everyone gets along!

The morning of the session Tim and the boys were helping him practice for his martial arts.  Denise warned them before taking off that they had pictures that evening, so no one get hurt!  They all headed out the door promising just that.  Somewhere along the lines, boys being boys, they transpired a plan to give their Mom a heart attack.  Later that afternoon Jacob walked in with a ‘black eye,’ followed by the rest of the clan.  Needless to say they definitely received the reaction they wanted from her.  She was in shock and could hardly believe that they allowed the ‘black eye’ to happen.  After a full inspection, she wasn’t quite sure what to think or do.  That is until they all reasurred her that it wasn’t real!  {So as an FYI, the key to faking a black eye is smeared black mascara!}  All of the guys were still laughing as they shared the story with me and poor Denise was still shaking her head at them!  It was quite comical!

After asking Denise + Tim about their family dynamic, she said, We are a rowdy AND affectionate bunch.  There’s a lot of joking and horsing around mixed in with plenty of hugs and intimate conversations!  Most of the times they hear the common statement of, “Boy do you have your hands full!”  However, Denise’s response is, No, I have a heart full!  {I love that!}  She commented further saying, Our home is often noisy and a bit chaotic, and not as organized as I like, but WOW!  Our lives are so much richer, because our house is full of so many unique personalities.

As a family the Trimbach’s love to play board games, have movie night {or afternoon}, and read good literature aloud together {which is usually part of their homeschool!}  They also all have a mutual love for Chinese and pizza.  Trimbach’s, your my kind of family!

Thank you so much to all of you!  Tim + Denise, thank you for showing your kids exactly what it’s like to be a family and how to have a great marriage!  Many blessings to all of you and good luck to you in this next year of adventure and fun!

..Kyle + Jessica Part II | NorthWest Ohio Wedding Photographer..

Jessica + Kyle were already half way done with their day as we made our way to the reception.  {Little did they know that a surprise was in store for them!}

During one of the toasts, Brandi, the Matron of Honor, mentioned that her and Jessica had been best friends for as long as each of them could remember.  A special friendship that she knew she wouldn’t let go of.  The night before during the rehearsal, Kyle asked how she would do without her?  Brandi looked at Kyle and said, because I gladly get to hand that role over to you.  You are her best friend now.  {So sweet!}

After dinner, I grabbed the bridal party to take them outside for some sunset portraiture!  The light was pretty and created that special glow on each of their skin, matching the feelings that they were sharing.

We snuck them back inside, so that the surprise could take place.  Bryce, brother of the groom had the opportunity to explain {and distract the crowd}, even though Kyle has loved flying all of his life!  So much that he pursued a career as an airline pilot, Jess however does not have that mutual love. In the Aona family, they have a tradition at their weddings.  It is custom for the groom to take his bride for a ride around in something.  {In the past it has been a golf cart, tricyle, little red ragon, and even a wheel barrel.}  Well tonight, Kyle you will be taking her on your first married flight!  He pointed outside sharing the golf cart fashioned as their very own Aona Airlines plane!  {Grandma + Grandpa did a FABULOUS job!}  So as custom, Kyle loaded Jess up and took her for her ride!

..Kyle + Jessica Part I | NorthWest Ohio Wedding Photographer..

We arrived as Jessica was putting the finishing touches on her makeup, and she already was radiating a vast amount of light.  Through the glow there was a touch of nerves being pushed away from the excitement she was also feeling.  The girls rallied around her, preparing her to slip into her dress.  Some laughed, while others stood back and choked back tears.  Not before long, they were helping her gather her things to head to the church.

Nicole and I arrived at the large stone church with the beautiful wooden doors and iron handles.  It stands seemingly tall amongst the fields, tucked away from the roadside.  Inside the guys were jostling one another while trying to stay cool in front of the fans.  {Pretty difficult when it’s 90 degrees outside with no air conditioner.}  I coaxed them outside for a quick round of images before the bride and her ladies got there.  Lucky for Kyle, he had a great group of guys to keep his mind off of the ticking clock.  We sent them inside and I had a few moments to hang out with Kyle.  He said, it feels like this has been a long time coming.  I reasurred him that it would go by even faster and to really just enjoy the time at the altar.  No matter how hot it got.

Shortly after time with the guys we started with the girls portraits.  Although Kyle + Jessica chose not to see each other before the wedding they wanted to have as much out of the way beforehand!  Before the ceremony began, Kyle sent his gift up to Jess.  In a crowded room of ladies she opened her second wedding band!  She laughed and said, we talked about it and he told me no.  Now I know why!  Although she wanted to wear it down the aisle, Jessica decided that she wanted all three rings to be blessed at the altar.  So she handed the ring back for delivery to the best man.

It didn’t take long for the ceremony to be under way, as Jessica and her father stepped into the light at the end of the aisle.  Kyle stood in awe as she made her way towards him.  To make things special they chose to have Jess’s uncle marry them.  With his thick accent, it was hard for Kyle to distinquish the moment that the vows were to begin.  So after repeat after me began again, Kyle caught on!  {Guess he was soaking in the moment…and Jess’s beauty!}

Much more to come from there day, so be sure to check in for Part II!
