A few months back, I had the opportunity to take senior portraits for ..Sarah..! Shortly, after Sarah’s portrait session, Denise {Momma T} asked for a family portrait session from Tim {Pappa T}! She jokingly asked if I was up for the task, since there was 10 of them! I assured her it would be no problem. {I have bridal parties larger than their family.} So for Denise’s birthday, I was honored to spend time with the whole family at Carriage Hill. What a blessing of a time it was! It reminded me much of my own family and how well everyone gets along!
The morning of the session Tim and the boys were helping him practice for his martial arts. Denise warned them before taking off that they had pictures that evening, so no one get hurt! They all headed out the door promising just that. Somewhere along the lines, boys being boys, they transpired a plan to give their Mom a heart attack. Later that afternoon Jacob walked in with a ‘black eye,’ followed by the rest of the clan. Needless to say they definitely received the reaction they wanted from her. She was in shock and could hardly believe that they allowed the ‘black eye’ to happen. After a full inspection, she wasn’t quite sure what to think or do. That is until they all reasurred her that it wasn’t real! {So as an FYI, the key to faking a black eye is smeared black mascara!} All of the guys were still laughing as they shared the story with me and poor Denise was still shaking her head at them! It was quite comical!
After asking Denise + Tim about their family dynamic, she said, We are a rowdy AND affectionate bunch. There’s a lot of joking and horsing around mixed in with plenty of hugs and intimate conversations! Most of the times they hear the common statement of, “Boy do you have your hands full!” However, Denise’s response is, No, I have a heart full! {I love that!} She commented further saying, Our home is often noisy and a bit chaotic, and not as organized as I like, but WOW! Our lives are so much richer, because our house is full of so many unique personalities.
As a family the Trimbach’s love to play board games, have movie night {or afternoon}, and read good literature aloud together {which is usually part of their homeschool!} They also all have a mutual love for Chinese and pizza. Trimbach’s, your my kind of family!
Thank you so much to all of you! Tim + Denise, thank you for showing your kids exactly what it’s like to be a family and how to have a great marriage! Many blessings to all of you and good luck to you in this next year of adventure and fun!
